San Francisco Bay Area ATV signals are relayed by the W6CX Amateur Television Repeater high atop Mt. Diablo. The input frequency is 1253.250 Mhz, vertically polarized AM, and the output is on 427.250 Mhz also vertically polarized AM. Note that since this output frequency is the same as 'cable channel 58', many ordinary VCR's and cable-ready TV's can receive the signals if they are connected to a vertically polarized UHF antenna pointed at Mt. Diablo.
